Night Wanderer from the Scarlet & Violet series
Night Wanderer is an expansion from the Scarlet & Violet series and has the Japanese set code SV6a. The set was released in Japan on June 7, 2024, and contains five randomly assorted cards per Booster Pack. Its dark design and focus on Poison- and Darkness-type Pokémon make the expansion especially interesting for Collectors of Asian Pokémon cards.
Infamomo-ex at the center of the set
The central Pokémon of Night Wanderer is the Mythical Pokémon Infamomo-ex. The card incorporates the motif of the poisonous chains Infamomo uses to control other Pokémon and combines this theme with a fitting game mechanic. Thanks to its striking design, Infamomo-ex is one of the expansion's most important collecting highlights.
Boninu-ex, Benesaru-ex, and Beatori-ex
In addition to Infamomo-ex, Night Wanderer also includes the three companions Boninu-ex, Benesaru-ex, and Beatori-ex. The Pokémon have different abilities and attacks that work especially well with Infamomo-ex and poisoning your own Pokémon. Together, they form the thematic core of the set and recall the story from The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.
Additional Pokémon-ex and special cards
Night Wanderer includes another powerful Pokémon-ex, Kingdra-ex, which can bring Water-type Pokémon directly from the discard pile onto the Bench. The expansion is rounded out by cards such as Kyurem, as well as various Trainer, ACE SPEC, Art Rare, and Special Art Rare cards. This gives the set both interesting game mechanics and a variety of illustrations for Collectors.
