Magic: The Gathering Innistrad Remastered at a glance
Magic: The Gathering Innistrad Remastered was released on January 24, 2025, bringing back numerous well-known cards from the history of the dark plane of Innistrad in one remastered set. Vampires, werewolves, zombies, ghosts, and classic Gothic horror motifs define the set. If you want to explore other Magic products besides Innistrad, you'll find many different sets and pack formats under Magic: The Gathering Booster packs.
Retro frames and familiar Innistrad cards
A special focus of Innistrad Remastered is on popular cards from earlier Innistrad sets. Each Play and Collector Booster version has its own slot for a card with a retro frame. For the first time, double-faced cards with retro frames on both sides are also included. In addition, familiar showcase designs from Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow return, giving selected cards new collector variants.
Innistrad Remastered Play Booster Box in German
The Magic: The Gathering Innistrad Remastered Play Booster Box – German contains 36 German-language Play Booster packs and is ideal for big openings, Draft, and Sealed. If you’d like to try the set with a single pack first, you can choose the Innistrad Remastered Play Single Booster Pack – German instead. You can also find Other products for new Magic players under Magic starter boxes in German.
Movie Poster Cards and special collector variants
In addition to Retro Frames, Innistrad Remastered features Borderless cards, Showcase Equinox Cards, Fang treatments, and ten special Movie Poster Cards. One of the rarest highlights is Edgar Markov as a serialized Double-Rainbow Foil card in the Movie-Poster style, available exclusively in English. This means the set combines familiar cards from Innistrad with new designs and a strong collector focus.
Innistrad Remastered Collector Booster Box for Collectors
The Magic: The Gathering Innistrad Remastered Collector Booster Box – English contains twelve English-language Collector Booster packs and is especially aimed at Collectors of foil cards and special treatments. Collector Booster packs focus more on retro foils, borderless cards, showcase designs, and Movie Poster Cards than regular Play Booster packs. If you’d rather open just one premium pack, you can choose the Innistrad Remastered Collector Booster – English.
Is there an Innistrad Remastered Commander Deck?
An official Magic Innistrad Remastered Commander Deck was not released as a standalone product. However, the set’s cards feature many popular creature types and strategies from Innistrad and can be used in existing Commander decks, depending on format legality. If you’re specifically looking for ready-to-play decks, other Magic sets with their own Commander products are a better choice.
From Innistrad to new Magic worlds
Innistrad Remastered focuses on Gothic horror and familiar cards from years past, while newer sets explore entirely different worlds. For example, Magic: The Gathering Edge of Eternities combines Magic with space fantasy, while Magic: The Gathering Lorwyns Finsternis in German puts another familiar plane and a different fantasy theme at the center.
Collect Innistrad Remastered and choose the right product
Innistrad Remastered is especially aimed at fans of classic Innistrad cards, Gothic horror, and special reprints. Play Booster packs are suitable for Draft, Sealed, and classic openings, while Collector Booster packs focus more on rare foils and exceptional card designs. Those looking to discover more high-quality or powerful Magic products can also explore Magic: The Gathering Modern Horizons 3 as an alternative remastered-style expansion for Collectors and players.
