40k T'AU: Combat Patrol

If you want to start playing T'au in Warhammer 40.000 or expand your army sensibly, the Combat Patrol is a particularly practical box. It combines several units into a cohesive force and saves you the hassle of searching for individual compatible models. This is especially convenient for Beginners, as you do not first have to put together every detail separately. Experienced Players also like to choose such boxes when they want a clear foundation for a new T'au army.

The box is especially worthwhile if you're looking for a complete T'au package rather than buying individual models side by side. For building a new army, this is often the easier option, as you get several important units in a single product. Anyone discovering Warhammer 40.000 for the first time gets a clear starting point here. And if you already play T'au, you can use the box as a useful expansion without having to spend a long time looking for the right additions.

Many Collectors like Combat Patrol boxes because they make a faction tangible at a glance. This works particularly well for T'au, as the included units showcase the army's typical technological character. If you want to build your Collection not through individual purchases but with clearly themed boxes, you will find a convenient structure here. This is helpful if you want to expand a T'au Collection step by step while still maintaining a cohesive overall appearance.

For Players, the box is interesting because it brings together several unit types and thus covers different roles. You get a foundation that works well for preparing smaller games or casual sessions. This is especially practical if you want to try Warhammer 40.000 without having to plan everything individually right away. It is also helpful for building your army later, as you can use this foundation to add further models selectively.

Included are a Commander in an Enforcer Battlesuit, ten Fire Warriors with a Drone, an XV95 Ghostkeel Battlesuit, two Tactical Drones, a Marker Drone, and a DS8 Tactical Support Turret. The corresponding kits and assembly instructions are also included. The miniatures are supplied unassembled and can be built according to your preferences. The set therefore offers a varied mix of a leader, infantry, a Battlesuit, and support elements in one box.

If you were going to get several T'au models anyway, the Combat Patrol is often the more convenient solution. Instead of comparing individual boxes, you get a curated selection here that combines well for building an army. Individual boxes make sense if you’re only missing one specific model, but for a clean start or broad expansion, the Combat Patrol is usually more straightforward. That’s exactly what makes it so appealing to many buyers.

In Warhammer 40.000, the Product type is often more decisive than you might initially think. A Combat Patrol is neither a single miniature nor merely a collector's item, but a box containing several coordinated units. Anyone looking to play or build a T'au force with a clear focus benefits from this structure. That's why it's worth considering before making a purchase whether you're looking for a single Battlesuit, a vehicle, or a complete small army.

The Combat Patrol is a very good starting point if you're beginning with T'au or want to get back into the hobby after a break. The mix of different models makes it easier to get started, as you immediately have several building blocks for your army in hand. The box can also be an interesting gift for Warhammer fans, as the contents are easy to understand and fit well into the hobby. If you want to build a T'au army in a structured way, you've come to the right place.
